Hohenstein confirms functionality of VILOFT® fibres

VILOFT® can look back on a tradition lasting virtually 40 years in the product range of viscose speciality manufacturers Kelheim Fibres. Customers all over the world value the particularly soft special fibre with its unique flat cross-section, thanks to which special characteristics can be achieved in fabrics containing VILOFT®. What customers have known for many years has now been confirmed scientifically by the well-known textile research institute Hohenstein. The Hohenstein Institute is one of the leading textile institutes world-wide. Amongst other things, Hohenstein successfully introduced a series of standard tests to measure heat insulation, moisture transport and wearer comfort. In current tests, knitted fabrics made of VILOFT® were compared with textiles made of other cellulosic fibres - VILOFT® achieved excellent results. The speciality viscose fibre performed excellently especially as regards heat insulation and moisture management. A combination of these two factors results in wearing comfort, where, again, VILOFT® achieved top marks.
Here are the individual test results in detail!
